Dark cottagecore, gently: a wander through the Apothecary of Thorns

Apothecary of Thorns sherpa blanket with dark botanical print

Every garden has a shadow side. The Apothecary of Thorns is Grovefolk's Home's darker botanical collection — ten shadow-grown plants, each one hand-drawn and paired with its Latin name, its pronunciation, and a small herbalist's note on its old folk uses. Belladonna, mandrake, wolfsbane: beautiful, poisonous, and full of old magic. For the ones who like their garden with a little danger in it.

The ten plants

It begins with the Black Rose (No. 1) and wanders through Nightshade, Mandrake, Foxglove, Wolfsbane, Hemlock, Mugwort, Henbane, and Poppy, ending at Blackthorn (No. 10). Each canvas is a page from an old herbal — if the herbalist had a slightly wicked streak.

Not just canvases

The same prints live on sherpa fleece blankets for curling up with a ghost story, a Black Rose pillow cover, and small stickers for journals and laptops. The full story of the collection lives on the Apothecary page.

A Halloween kindness

Through October 31, the whole Apothecary of Thorns collection is 10% off — no code needed, the discount simply appears at checkout. If you would like a piece home in time for Halloween, order by October 23 to be safe.

Dark, but make it cozy. That is the grove way.
